About TSL

What we're here to do

The Session Library gives coaches a better way to access football sessions: a growing bank of purposeful, game-relevant practices with clear layouts, coaching detail and adaptations, built to save, share and use.

Our aim

  • Provide high-quality football sessions coaches can trust
  • Make sessions simple to understand and easy to deliver
  • Share coaching detail, not just diagrams
  • Help coaches adapt practices for different ages, numbers and needs
  • Build a growing library of purposeful, game-relevant sessions

What you'll see

  • Ready-to-use session ideas
  • Clear objective, set-up and player numbers
  • Area sizes, timings and equipment
  • Coaching points and interventions
  • Progressions, regressions and adaptations
  • Practices built for real coaching environments

How each post is built

How it works

Every post follows the same four steps, so you always know where to find what you need.

  1. 01

    Objective first

Every post starts with what the practice is trying to develop, so the purpose is clear before a cone goes down.

  2. 02

    Animation

An animated diagram shows the practice running, with player movement and ball movement you can follow.

  3. 03

    Rules, layout, timings

The caption sets out the rules, the area, the numbers and how long to run each block.

  4. 04

    Progress or regress

Progressions and regressions are included, so you can adjust on the night to what your players need.

Coaching points

  • Scan before the ball arrives
  • Open body shape to see both ends
  • Create angles, not straight lines
  • Play forward when the lane opens

Adapt it

  • Progress: two-touch limit; a point for each end-to-end switch
  • Regress: add a fourth neutral or widen the area
